Ever wonder if your tires are going to make it one more day? The Tire Durometer from Longacre can give you some insight into your tire’s hardness and how much life might be left in your tires. The hardness of a tire has a huge effect on your car’s performance. If you are driving on a tire that is too hard, the rubber will not bite as well to the pavement. If the tire is too soft, your tires can wear down quickly or potentially ball up.

As a tire goes thru its “life cycle” the hardness of the tire changes. In order to keep tabs on this progression the tire durometer can be used after every session to see how much life is left. This easy-to-use tool will help you do just that- quickly, accurately and easily.

Features of the durometer:
  • Protective Pouch
  • Reads 0-100 Points for accurate and consistant readings
  • Comes with a protective pouch
  • Reads 0-100 points

For the most consistent results rock the durometer from angled back past straight up to angled forward. The pointer will move up to the highest (true) reading, then back down. Record the highest reading reached. The durometer must have a rectangular base to do this properly. If you just push straight down you may get inconsistent and inaccurate results.
