LN Engineering is helping Porsche owners sleep easy at night knowing that their oil pan has an added safety feature in the form of a magnetic drain plug. LN Engineering’s billet aluminum “Bigfoot” magnetic drain plug is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and has a large 3/8” rare-earth magnet to reduce iron (FE) levels in oil, which is a primary source for wear in your engine. The magnetic force of the plug is 14lbs of pull so you know it is working hard.
Another reason to use a magnetic drain plug, especially in the M96 engine, is because of the potential for IMS (intermediate shaft) failures. The ferrous foreign object debris generated by a failing IMS bearing will be caught by the magnet. This allows the owner to have early detection of critical engine problems before they happen!
Ever have the problem of a stripped drain plug or had a hard time getting one out? LN Engineering has decided to help put an end to this madness and created a plug that has a hard anodized surface, featuring an over-sized 10mm internal hex. Unlike the original drain plug’s hex which is easily stripped, the LN Engineering plug is designed to last for years.

This plug uses O.E. sealing rings (Porsche part number 900.123.106.30). One ring is included with your purchase.
