Excessive heat is the enemy, especially when it comes to coolant temperatures. The Koyorad Hyper Cap was designed with an increased valve pressure rating of 1.3kgf/cm2 (1.3 bar) (18.9 psi) which helps increase the boiling point of water.
How does increasing valve pressure help my coolant temps?
When water is pressurized, the natural boiling point is increased. By increasing the boiling point of water, an engine’s cooling system will have added heat capacity. Due to the increase to 1.3 bar in pressure over the traditional .9 bar cap, the boiling point of your coolant has now jumped up 56 degrees to 267.80°F.
Still too hot?
We suggest swapping out to Red Line Water Wetter to keep temps in check.
Not available at this time. Use caution when opening radiator cap as coolant may be under pressure. Refer to owners manual for more details.
