Our favorite places to play and stay while at the track! We are a Chicago based company so most of our experience has been at the local tracks, if you have suggestions you would like to share for other tracks like VIR, The Glen, Limerock, etc… please let us know! We would be happy to share your reviews on our site.
Blackhawk Farms
Historic Auto Attractions A small museum with a big collection of some of the most rare autos in the world. Don’t believe me? Where else can you see authentic U.S. Presidential Limos right beside Danica Patrick’s Indy 500 car? For eats we suggest the Backyard Bar and Grill.
GingerMan Raceway
If you are up to hanging out and having a refreshing beverage after a day at the track head west to downtown South Haven and visit Captain Lou’s located right below the Dyckman Ave bridge. Located right on the Black River, you can see all the boats heading in and out to Lake Michigan while having a great burger or adult drink. Phoenix Street Café is one of our favorite places to grab a quick bite to eat and is more family friendly. Speaking of family…located on Phoenix Street, just east of Route 31, you can taste some of the best ice cream in the area at Sherman’s Ice Cream Bar (just look for the giant blue cow on the roof) If you are in the mood for Italian or a good pizza, head to the Vineyard.
Autobahn CC
We live 20 miles away from Autobahn CC, so needless to say we have not found a place to stay or eat while visiting this track; we usually head home after a days work. The food at the concession stand is quite good if it is open, and Chris’ favorite is the Grilled Chicken Ranch Wrap. Otherwise, if you have any suggestions of places to stay or play while at the Autobahn, we will be happy to put your suggestions up!
Road America
Another track that we usually pack it up at night and head home. Food track side is pretty good, with a decent selection of offerings to keep your motor running in-between sessions. Elkhart Lake is full of great lodging and dining, so you really can’t go wrong. I have been recommended Osthoff Resort by a couple of my friends in the past, so that would be my starting point. If you want to share some of your favorite places to stay and play, let us know, we will be happy to post your review!
